so i finally got round to modding this little guy so i finally got round to modding this little guy with individual outs, pretty straightforward but qwite fiddly, still can't drill holes in a straight line tho. snare connect was a bit of a pfaff, but the mains are clearly labelled. only had a brief play but it worked straight out the gate. there is one issue tho, it seems to make the stutter delay a little unusable, i'm guessing there's some 'compression' or sumpn on the headphone mix that glues the sound a bit, further messing required all being well i'll ditch the drumbrute and reclaim some desktop, i was only using the rimshot anyway.. #volca #mods #isolatethekick #beforethesuncame #tinyrigs #isthereamodforthat

decided to try and get this kiddie working, wet/dr decided to try and get this kiddie working, wet/dry pot is dead, tape runs really unevenly, and a couple screws need replacing. these loop carts are a nightmare to work on, tape leaps out of the guides at the slightest suggestion, but before i could deal with that i noticed that the foam the felt pads are mounted on had degraded to an oily mush. so i used a small piece of one of those double sided picture hanging jobbies to remount them after a serious clean with isopropyl alcohol and a scalpel. another half an hour of tape jumping around later i got the lid back on the cart and after some fiddling it sounds great, still quite variable in echo time but that's part of the charm. #melos #tapeecho #apollon #poormansspacecho #itsnotdeaditsresting
